Our Fabrics
Pēpi Snuggle is very focused to keep all our fabrics and Material sustainable and organic as much possible.
Organic Cotton - organic cotton is the cotton that is grown with techniques and material, which have a low impact on the environment. It is grown without using synthetic chemicals, apart from the ones approved by the standards of organic agriculture.
We can build clean and breathable environment for our little humans by going organic or sustainable is the only way forward.
Bamboo - Bamboo is an incredibly renewable and versatile crop. Although it’s tough like wood, it’s actually a type of grass and some species can grow by over a metre a day.
The crop requires very little water and does not need to be sprayed with pesticides or fertilisers to grow. Moreover, bamboo releases 35 per cent more oxygen into the air compared to trees of the same size. At cultivation level, bamboo appears to be an environmental win.
Linen - A bast fibre, woven from the flax plant, linen is a prevalent yet lush fabric. Since its natural enemy is field mouse, not insects, it virtually needs no pesticides. Organic linen is a rare commodity as the environmental impact of the conventionally-grown linen is more or less the same as the one grown organically, making linen almost naturally organic.
